Our client law firms or companies need specific skill sets and levels of experience. Our job is to take the time to listen to those particular job needs and conduct a search that will totally achieve our clients' goals.

We also will continually update our clients on those searches and work collaboratively with them to determine if we need to make realistic adjustments on the candidates we are searching for.

This philosophy extends to our candidates where we listen to their job search goals and try to guide them as to realistic expectations in terms of the position, compensation and long term goals.

Marc Zwetchkenbaum, Esq. is the Z behind Z Legal Placement. He is the founder and President, and has been assisting law firms and corporations in finding staffing solutions for 30 years. His background in Litigation and General Counsel law as well as his active participation in the legal community lend him invaluable industry know-how, making him a true expert in the field.

Case Study - Biopharma General Counsel

The Issue at Hand: Client, an emerging biopharma company was growing financially but remained challenged by their outside client bills. The outside firm, one of the region's more prestigious firms, was doing a great job. However, our client was having them perform work that an in house attorney should have done while continuing to use the outside counsel for more specific and sophisticated tasks. The work was piling up and they were not attracting permanent, talented in house help, except in the form of contract attorneys. As our client was a start up, they could not pay what more established companies would.

The Challenge: We needed to find a talented attorney with a strong biopharma background who could hit the ground running. The candidate would need to have extensive knowledge of the biopharma field and be counted on and trusted by the principals of the organization as they built the business.

The Solution: Our experienced team of attorney recruiters immediately sourced, recruited and networked for attorneys with this type of experience. We were able to produce several strong candidates resulting in a very successful hire by the firm.

The Issue at Hand: Our Client, a well-established midsized general practice law firm, needed a frontline Litigation Partner who was not only successful in the courtroom and on case resolution but who had also previously built a financially successful practice.

The Challenge: Our team not only needed to recruit a high level attorney who could represent sophisticated, leading businesses but to also find someone with a substantial book of business. This candidate would need to possess the type of personality which would allow them to work with other partners and business generators within the client firm.

The Solution: Our experienced recruiters extensively sought attorneys through our established network, relationships and sourcing. We conducted extensive interviews which ultimately led to the successful hire of a candidate with the right balance.

Success: The Litigation Partner who was hired has since built a successful practice at the firm, increasing the size of and revenue for his department. Further, he has become a key "go to" person for new hires, ensuring the future success of the firm.

Case Study - Estate Planning/Trusts & Estates Paralegal

The Issue at Hand: Our client, a national law firm with practices in multiple major cities, was losing the supplementary business generated through their Private Client group. This group consisted of a small number of attorneys, as the business generated for that team was inconsistent.

The Challenge: The firm did not want to hire attorneys at higher salaries, as this could not be financially supported with the income generated by the practice. At the same time, they did not want to limit the scale of a team that had previously served as a valuable lead generation force which could assist in the development of future business opportunities.

The Solution: Our company collaborated with the management of the client firm and arrived upon the solution of hiring an Estate Planning/Trusts and Estates Paralegal. This candidate would be seasoned, experienced and able bill many hours. However, their cost would be substantially lower than that for hiring an attorney. Ultimately, through our extensive networking, sourcing and recruiting, our talented recruiting team found such a candidate.

Success: The newly hired Paralegal has been very productive within the client firm. Not only has this candidate helped retain business but has also allowed the firm to grow their practice and hire two additional attorneys!
